I had no such trouble with Cocoon, though, because its challenges tweaked my brain receptors in what can only be described as a gentle brush of the neurons. Playing puzzle games at events frightens me, because: 1) my brain is rarely able to overcome a puzzle in public 2) people might be watching, and therefore, 3) I can hear them sniggering behind my back. He commanded my full attention and he got it all. I needed to commune properly with the mighty insect lad, who hoists orbs that contain entire worlds onto his back in the game's wonderful mix of puzzler and top-down action. And in the 30 minutes I spent with it, I actually sat up on the sofa and did a colossal goblin lean towards the telly in full view of everyone. A “fighters pass” is also purchasable, which bundles all DLC packs for $24.99, making them available as soon as they’re out.Right folks, listen up: from just 30 minutes of Cocoon, I'm already convinced it's one of the best games here at Summer Game Fest 2023. If we add Banjo-Kazooie to the list, which now also includes Dragon Quest’s hero, that means there are two more characters left to reveal. All currently planned challenger packs will be out by 2020. Challenger packs come with a new fighter, stage, and music tracks. While Nintendo didn’t announce a price point for Banjo-Kazooie, it’s worth noting that they’ve said that each “challenger pack” will individually cost $5.99 each. Aside from re-releases, we haven’t seen much of either character since 2008’s Nuts & Bolts, which was released for the Xbox 360. Of course, Banjo-Kazooie is no stranger to Nintendo platforms - the duo originally premiered on Nintendo 64 hardware, back when Rare wasn’t owned by Microsoft.
